Forever Love is a beautiful story that explores the everlasting love between a terminally ill parent with his child.
Room for One More is a wonderful book to share with children for
it focuses on the heart’s ability to expand as a baby is welcomed into a family.
Margaret the Magnificent is the story of a sheepdog who has super powers. She travels the globe searching for children who need extra love, licks, and friendship. Margaret helps children as she builds their self esteem and adds joy to their lives.
Donna B Mavrides, an early childhood specialist, has created Magical M’s Curriculum Guide to help fellow educators and to share her passion for children’s magnificent minds and marvelous messes that they should be making each and every day. The open ended, integrated daily lessons share common goals that include building self confident, compassionate, curious, resourceful, tolerant, passionate, creative, and kind little people . Each theme includes songs, art experiences, books, recipes, suggested table top activities, circle time fun, motor skill strategies, language experiences, and ongoing , hands-on math and reading readiness skills. Most importantly, Donna reminds all of us that children are priceless jewels that must be treasured, nourished, respected, and treated with patience and love.
Donna is a caring, experienced and creative person who not only educates the minds on young children, but develops their souls as well. I have known her for four years and she has touched the life of my young daughter and our entire family.” May 5, 2009

Dara Blaker hired Donna as a Child Educator in 2005:
“I have worked closely with Donna to illustrate her three books. She has a wonderful way with words to express feeling and emotion into each of her stories. I also have had the pleasure of having her as a teacher for both my daughters. I would think that with learning in an environment that is filled with fun, encouragement and stress free is what any parent would want. That is what you get with Donna. I am sure any teacher could only benefit by her curriculum guide and provide them with the tools that they would need each day. I would highly recommend her.” May 2, 2009

Rgamblin said: “This is a great book for children who have lost a parent. I wouldn’t recommend for a child who has a sick parent that might recover.
This book is a wonderful read and will pull at your heart. It helps a child to recognize that they can always cherish the memories that were made together with the one you love and that you can hold on to them “forever”. This book could only help a child deal with the loss of a parent or family member. Give them comfort in a time when their world has been turned upside down.
This is as beautiful and uplifting a book as I have ever read, and will be of great help and comfort to any child who has experienced, or is facing the loss of a parent.
This book connects with children who are in a place of grief and leads them to a place of empathy and new understanding. It lets them know that they are not alone, that many share their same feelings. And it conveys perhaps the greatest lesson of life, a lesson that many of us never learn, and that is: all “things” fade; only “love,” which is who we really are, is eternal.”

The story is well written and geared for children and adults alike. In addition, the illustrations are amazing and gender neutral, which is important because it can be used for all ages and sexes. As a psychiatrist – I plan to use this book in my practice and encourage other psychiatrists to pick up this book and use it with their patients. All in all, this is a wonderful first book by Donna Mavrides and I think that everyone should buy a copy today!(less) ”
“My name is Camille Bruno, and I am a pre-school teacher with 17 years experience, currently teaching at a private nursery school in New Jersey.
I am writing on behalf of my former colleague and dear friend, Donna Mavrides. Donna and I worked together for three years at the JCC in Boca Raton, Florida. I worked with other teachers before and since, and in my experience, there is no finer teacher than Donna. Therefore, when she told me she was putting together a pre-school curriculum guide, I knew it would be a valuable and comprehensive guideline for teachers.
Magical Moments, A Pre-School Curriculum Guide, by Donna B. Mavrides, facilitates the development of the whole child, physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally. Donna creates an interactive environment for children, based on her knowledge and understanding of child development. She believes children learn by doing; therefore, this curriculum guide offers numerous opportunities for concrete exploration. Open-ended experience is valued and aims to stimulate creativity and divergent thinking.
I reference and use this curriculum for many themes and lessons in my classroom, and it has proven to be a tremendous resource book. I would highly recommend this guide to every pre-school teacher because it will enhance their teaching skills, which ultimately benefits their children.”

What can I say about my Family’s preschool experience? It was fantastic!! I had the privledge of Mrs. Mavrides for both my children. They are 7 and 9 now but their memories of the time with Mrs. M are as vivid as yesterday. Everyday was a new experience, different centers always dotted the room. It was new and interesting and the room always buzzed with excitement. My kids loved learning how to pour from a pitcher by themselves, they left prek-3 with many new skills. Mrs. M nurtured that independence and built it into confidence to try new things. They were excited to come home and tell me stories they learned, or songs they sang (we still sing some!). By the end of the year, they had grown into students with a hunger to learn more. Mrs. Mavrides will always hold a special place in our hearts. She treated us all with kindness, respect and love. She began our journey into the world of learning and as students and parents their could have been no better place to start!”
I am writing on behalf of Donna Mavrides. I have had the absolute pleasure of experiencing “Mrs. M’s” preschool program for both my 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter. She has an amazing way of providing structure while at the same time encouraging creativity and individuality. I was so excited to observe the way my children grew in both social and academic areas. As a Speech-Language Pathologist who specialized in preschool aged children, I know I will be bringing Mrs. M’s methods back with me into the classroom when I return to work!
